Internationalization of Sports Education in Kazakhstan: APEMS - WSG University - ATOS Collaboration

internationalization of sports education in Kazakhstan. One of the brightest examples of this process is the MBA and EMBA programs in sports management, developed in 2023 in cooperation with WSG University in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

This program, being implemented in our country for the first time, meets the modern needs of the sports industry by attracting sports executives from different regions of Kazakhstan. Currently, MBA/EMBA listerners consist of more than 100 participants over a period of 1.5 years!

At the "MEETING WITHOUT TIES" event, representatives from all three cohorts of the program were present, along with our esteemed partners from Poland who contributed significantly to the success of the program. Among them were:

- doc. Krzysztof Sikora – President of WSG University in Bydgoszcz, member of the Olympic Committee, and Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Bydgoszcz

- prof. Magdalena Bergmann, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at WSG University, an expert in social policy

- prof. Alexander Skaliy, Director of the Institute of Sports and Physical Education at WSG University. In his presentation, the professor highlighted the long-standing cooperation between Kazakhstan and Poland in the field of sports, mentioning programs such as ERASMUS+, Bolashak, and the outcomes of joint international projects.

- dr. Tatyana Skaliy, Dean of WSG University for Cooperation with Eastern Universities, Master of Sports, and European Handball Champion.

During the event, a MEMORANDUM OF STRATEGIC COOPERATION AND MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING was signed between the Academy of Physical Education and Mass Sports and WSG University, along with WSG University's partner, the IT company ATOS – the main IT partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This memorandum opens new opportunities for the preparation of future sports managers who meet global standards.
