The research work of APEMS` students is one of the most important means of improving the quality of education among undergraduate and graduate students, who are able to apply practically the latest scientific innovations in the field of physical education and sports in a creative way.

Students` engagement to research work allows gaining advantage of their creative and performance potential to solve urgent problems of physical education and sports.

During the research process, students acquire scientific knowledge, research skills and abilities to process, generalize and systematize the results of scientific workflows.

The major objectives of students` research work at APEMS are:
- students` mastering the scientific method of cognition, deep and creative acquisition of educational material;
- training in methodology and tools of independent decision-making of scientific puzzles as well as skills of work in scientific communities;
- introduction to the methods of scientific organizational work, and assistance in successful solution of urgent scientific problems in the field of physical education and sports.

In terms of students` research work APEMS provides:  
- opportunities for independent scientific research under the teachers` guidance;
- opportunities for students` participation at student scientific conferences on the basis of their research findings (university, republican, international);
- participation in the in-house university scientific competitions;
- participation in projects for young scientists within grant financing;
- obtaining scientific knowledge in the frameworks of international academic mobility programs (Erasmus +, Mevlana, etc.);
- scientific knowledge application in the frameworks of undergraduate and graduate thesis, and project work.
