Academic Council

The Scientific Board of LLP "Academy of Physical Culture and Mass Sports"is one of the forms of collegial management of the Academy.

The competence of the Scientific Board includes determining of the strategy and concept for the development of the Academy, approving the structure of APEMS, creating and reorganizing educational and scientific departments, approval of the annual reports of the rector, vice-rectors, heads of structural departments on the forms and methods of conducting activities, recommendations for the publication of monographs, textbooks and training manuals, approval of thesis and scientific advisers of undergraduates on dissertational research, submission for the award of academic titles, approval and awarding of a Rector's grant and scholarships, consideration of other issues of APEMS 's current activities that require a collegial decision.

The decisions taken by the Scientific Board mainly relate to the organization of educational, research, financial and economic activities of APEMS structural divisions.

The composition of the Scientific Board is approved by the order of the APEMS Rector and consists of an odd number of members. It consists of: the rector, vice-rector, dean, heads of structural divisions, teachers who have made a significant contribution to the development of the university at the international and national levels, as well as students. The Chairman of the Scientific Board is the Rector, the Vice-Chairman is the First Vice-Rector.

The Scientific Board organizes its work on the basis of the approved plan for the academic year. Meetings of the Scientific Board are held in accordance with the approved regulations at least once a month.
