The documents are submitted in two ways:
Offline format, requiring:
1) A letter of application in the prescribed form;
2) Certificate or Diploma (original version), (notarized translation into Kazakh or Russian, if required);
3) Copy of the passport (notarized translation copy and translation into Kazakh or Russian, if required) and a copy of the residence permit, if available;
4) Medical certificate in the form of 075/y in electronic format, approved by order No. KR DSM-175/2020;
Online format, requiring:
1) Diploma (Certificate), (notarized translation into Kazakh or Russian, if required. It can be done in the country of staying;
2) Identity Document (Passport), as well as a copy of the residence permit if available (notarized translation into Kazakh or Russian, if required). It can be done in the country of staying;
3) Digital photo in size of 3x4;
4) Medical certificate in the form of 075/y in electronic format, approved by order No. KR DSM-175/2020.

*When submitting by a trustee, a notarized copy of power of attorney and an original document for verification should be provided.
* When submitting online, provide original versions of the documents to the Admissions Office on arrival to Kazakhstan:
- Original version of the certificate or diploma and notarized translation (if required);
- A copy of your passport and a notarized translation (if required);
- Medical certificate in the form of 075/y in electronic format, approved by order No. KR DSM-175/2020;
- 6 photographs in size of 3x4;
- Health insurance.

Foreign students are required to comply with the following migration control regulations:
1. Foreign citizens studying at the APEMS with a C9 visa do not have the right to work in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. Foreign students must annually undergo a medical examination and present a medical certificate form 086 and a fluorography to the Dean's office in the framework of the healthcare legislation.
3. Foreign citizens have the right to receive higher education and additional professional education at APEMS:
- under the state educational grant;
- in the framework of intergovernmental agreements;
- on a fee basis.
4. Ethnic Kazakhs who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan or living abroad have the right to receive higher education on an equal basis with citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
5. Foreign citizens entering the master's programs pass the entrance exams by appropriate proceedings.
6. Foreign citizens have the right to study at the APEMS preliminary courses, which ensure the acquisition of knowledge and skills for educational programs by foreign students in the Kazakh/Russian languages.
7. Foreign citizens arrive at the APEMS in private capacity in order to pass documents and entrance exams. Foreign citizens of countries with a visa regime, who have been accepted for study (who have paid the initial fee), are issued a C9 study visa.
Procedure for issuing an invitation:
1. To issue an invitation for a study visa C9 foreign citizens should apply to the APEMS` Department of International Cooperation.
2. To issue an invitation for a multiple-entry (more than 90 days) or single-entry (less than 90 days) visa C9 (education) foreign citizens must submit:
- a copy of the foreign passport;
- a copy of the Rector`s order on enrollment/transfer from course to course;
- a copy of the Contract for the provision of educational services (if any);
- a set form;
- a notarized consent from the owner of the apartment or a certificate from the APEMS` dormitory or hotel (at the place of temporary residence).
3. The invitation is issued by the migration police of Astana within 5 working days, while the permission procedure can be extended up to 30 days.
Visa extension procedure:
1. Visa extension is carried out 15 calendar days before the expiration of the visa by the APEMS` Department of International Cooperation. The extension of a study visa is made for 1 year period.
2. If the passport expires, it must be renewed in advance at the Consular service department (120 days before the visa expiration date).
3. To extend a study visa, foreign citizens must submit the following documents at least 15 days before the expiration date of the study visa:
- passport and copy of passport and visa;
- a copy of the Rector`s order on enrollment (transfer from course to course);
- receipt of payment of the state fee at the time of documents` submission;
- visa application form with photo 3x4;
- a notarized consent from the owner of the apartment or a certificate from the APEMS` dormitory (at the place of temporary residence).
4. Foreign citizens must renew their visa in time via the APEMS` Department of International Cooperation or leave the Republic of Kazakhstan 10 days before the visa expiration date.
5. Foreign citizens are personally responsible for compliance with the validity period of their passport and visa.
Procedure for registration of foreign citizens:
1. After crossing the state border, foreign citizens must come to the APEMS` Department of International Cooperation (EXPO, block 4.5, 2nd floor, room 202/1) on the first day of entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan (including weekends and holidays).
2. Foreign citizens must submit the following documents to register a passport:
For countries with a visa regime:
- passport and a copy of the passport with a note on crossing the state border and visa;
- migration/landing card issued at the border;
- a notarized written consent from the owner of the apartment or a certificate from the dormitory.
For visa-free countries:
- passport and a copy of the passport with a note on crossing the state border and visa;
- migration/landing card issued at the border;
- a copy of the Rector`s order on enrollment, transfer from course to course;
- a notarized written consent from the owner of the apartment or a certificate from the dormitory.
3. The Department of International Cooperation registers the passports of foreign citizens within three working days at the migration police after each crossing of the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan (any foreign country). The calculation of the specified terms starts from 00.01 hour.
4. Foreign citizens are required to arrive to the Republic of Kazakhstan not earlier than the start date of their study visa. In case of the entry on other visas (tourist, private, etc.), foreign citizens must leave before the date of the study visa and arrive on the day of its validity or later.
5. Every foreign citizen must reside at the registered place of residence. The discrepancy between the actual address of residence and the address specified during registration procedures is a violation of the Migration Law.
6. Department of International Cooperation, Faculty Deans have the right to conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections of foreign citizens living in the APEMS` dormitory. If there are any cases of registration violations, the breach report is drawn up, and the contract may be terminated for violation of the Migration Law.
7. When changing the place of residence, a foreign citizen must submit to the APEMS` Department of International Cooperation the following documents before moving to a new address:
- original and copy of passport and visa;
- a copy of the identity card and a notarized consent for temporary residence from the owner of the apartment.
Only after providing the above-mentioned documents, a foreign citizen can move to a new address.
8. In case of temporary absence from the dormitory, a foreign citizen is obliged to submit to the APEMS` Department of International Cooperation a written notice of the location and terms of absence with a note from the dormitory commandant.
9. Every time before going abroad during the academic year, a foreign citizen must obtain an exit permit.
* In case of going abroad without notification/permission from the Department of International Cooperation and the Faculty Dean, the Contract with a foreign citizen may be terminated.
Foreign citizens are obliged to:
1. leave the Republic of Kazakhstan after the end of the academic year;
2. have a passport and a student ID card with him/her and be careful with documents, namely do not lose them or damage them. In case of loss, a note with contact numbers and addresses should be enclosed in the passport;
3. notify immediately the APEMS` Department of International Cooperation, in case of loss or change of the national passport or change of contact details;
4. submit immediately the relevant documents to the APEMS` Department of International Cooperation, in case of getting a residence permit or citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Foreign citizens with a residence permit are required to reside at a permanent residence address or apply for temporary registration via the Department of International Cooperation.
5. Foreign citizens have the right to receive information and organizational assistance in time from the Department of International Cooperation, the Dean's Office, faculty`s advisers.
Foreign citizens are administratively responsible for:
- residence without registration in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- non-departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan or evasion from leaving after the expiration date of the visa or registration;
- employment with a study visa.
