History

The Academy of Physical Education and Mass Sports (APEMS) was opened in 2021 in Astana as part of the Concept for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2025. APEMS aims to be the nation's leading training center for the sports industry.

In recent years, competition in the international sports arena has increased significantly, in this regard, it is necessary to create and develop our own scientific base to ensure the effectiveness of high-performance and mass sports.

In connection with the above, in order to improve the skills of coaches, instructors, methodologists, as well as sports medicine specialists, APEMS creates an effective system of continuing professional education based on dual learning principles.
