Educational and Methodological Board

The Educational and Methodological Council (EMC) is a collegial body of the Academy of Physical Education and Mass Sports (APEMS), created to coordinate the activities of the structural divisions of the APEMS for the management and development of educational, methodical and organizational work.

EMC works under the chairmanship of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

The Deputy Chairman is the Director of the Department of Academic Activities.

The composition of the EMC is approved by the Order of the Rector.

The purpose of the Educational and methodological council is to determine the priority areas of educational and methodological activities, coordination of educational and methodological work of the APEMS.

Main tasks:

  • improving the quality and effectiveness of the educational and methodological process;
  • planning of publications, organization of examination and approval of educational and methodical literature and educational and methodical documentation;
  • analysis of the state of methodological support of the educational process at the APEMS, its improvement;
  • dissemination of best practices in the organization and improvement of educational and methodological work and the introduction of new learning technologies in the educational process;
  • consideration of issues of professional development, retraining and certification of teaching staff.

  • Making proposals on improving regulatory legal documents, the directions of training, state mandatory standards of education;
  • Organization of quality monitoring of the educational process and methodological support;
  • Development of recommendations to improve the quality of research work of students and teaching staff;
  • Monitoring the provision of educational process with educational literature and methodological developments together with the Library;
  • Organization of the examination of the manuscripts of the teaching staff submitted for publication, their recommendation for consideration by the Academic Council of the APEMS;
  • Organization of an annual educational and methodological conference on topical issues of improving the educational and methodological process;
  • Report of the Chairmen of the sections on the main areas of activity;
  • Promoting the dissemination of the experience of methodological work of teaching staff.

Fields of activity of the Quality Assurance section of educational programs

  • centralization of Educational program management and increased responsibility for the mastering results of educational program, compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements;
  • analysis of the quality of the educational program content;
  • formation of successive flexible Bachelor's and Master's degree programs demanded by employers;
  • improving the quality level of the personnel potential of educational program.

Activity of the Section of examination of Educational programs:

  • internal examination of the quality and content of the Educational program;
  • external examination of educational program by representatives of employers, the public and the academic environment;
  • development of cooperation of the Academy: with employers in order to update the content of educational program, taking into account regional needs, implementing the principle of practice-oriented training; with partner universities (in order to approve educational program) and industry experts (NCE "Atameken").

The Activity of the Educational and methodological work:

  • proposals and recommendations on improving educational programs, individual and work curricula;
  • development and approvement of methodological guidelines and uniform forms of reporting on the planning and organization of the educational process;
  • organization of attendance and analysis of the quality of classes;
  • motivated conclusions about the quality of teaching staff;
  • generalizations of the methodological experience of teaching staff;
  • monitoring of the quality of educational and methodological support (educational programs, syllabuses, educational and methodological complexes);
  • examination of teaching and methodological literature of teaching staff;
  • monitoring of implementation of the plan for the issue of teaching and methodological literature of teaching staff;
  • study of the issues of organizing and conducting all types of practice (compliance of practice bases with the content of practice programs, conditions for organizing practice, quality of practice programs, methodological security of practice, etc.) and provides methodological assistance;
  • suggestions for improving the educational process;
  • development of recommendations for the introduction of innovative and information technologies of training.
