In the framework of development of APEMS` international cooperation with educational and scientific organizations in South-East Asia Dina Saparova, the head of the international cooperation department, visited the Korea Institute of Sport Science (KISS), which is a national analytical center for Korean sports, on March 21, 2024.

The Korea Institute of Sport Science, founded in 1980, is located in Seoul. The mission of KISS is to develop policy and science in sports in South Korea.

The UNESCO Program operates on the basis of the Institute with the aim of uniting universities and research organizations around the world to achieve greater success in sport science.

During the meeting with Ms. Hyunju Cho, the official representative of KISS for international relations and senior researcher at the Department of Policy Research and Development of the UNESCO Chair in the Development of Youth through Sports Activities of the Republic of Korea, the parties discussed the main ways of cooperation between APEMS and the Korea Institute of Sport Science, in particular, conducting joint scientific research and scientific internships at KISS in Seoul, as well as conducting workshops and guest lectures by the scientists from the Korea Institute of Sport Science within the UNESCO program of Youth Development through Sports Activities during the 2024-2025 academic year at APEMS in Astana.

Expressing great respect to the experience in the scientific and educational spheres of the Korea Institute of Sport Science, we hope for long-term and fruitful cooperation for the benefit of the development of sports education and science!
