On April 18, 2025, the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Academy of Physical Education and Mass Sports held the I International Scientific and Practical Conference «Spiritual and Physical heritage of the Nation: legacy of Shokan Ualikhanov».

The main purpose of the conference is a modern scientific rethinking of the scientific heritage of the scientist, ethnographer and educator Chokan Ualikhanov and its wide application in the field of education and humanities.

The event was attended by renowned scientists, researchers, doctoral students and school teachers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The conference was held in the format of a plenary session and thematic sections.

The conference reviewed the research of Sh. Ualikhanov on the history, ethnography and culture of the Turkic peoples, spiritual and cultural continuity and national values, as well as issues of including his works in the educational process.

Following the results of the conference, it was proposed to systematize the scientific heritage of Shokan Ualikhanov, organize international projects and widely introduce it into the education system.

This conference is a vivid expression not only of the scientific exchange of opinions, but also of deep respect for national history and spiritual heritage. The staff of the Academy will continue to contribute to the development of science and education, and to the modernization of historical consciousness through such kind initiatives.
