Student exchange programs

Double-degree education is one of the priority tools of integration of Kazakhstan's higher education into the international educational space. This direction meets the strategic interests of the APEMS` development in terms of increasing competitiveness, and also contributes to improving the quality of education and increasing the number of joint research projects.

Double - degree education is an opportunity to study in parallel in two (or more) universities on a joint educational program, followed by obtaining diplomas from the corresponding educational institutions. The educational program within the double- diploma education is carried out on the basis of signed bilateral Memorandums between the APEMS and foreign institutions. Furthermore, partner departments/faculties elaborate curricula for double- degree education in the relevant specialties, the content of which includes the academic disciplines of the APEMS, according to the State Educational Standard, and foreign partners. At the same time, the disciplines of foreign partner universities are harmoniously included in the content of the relevant disciplines of the Kazakhstani educational standard, which makes it possible to prepare students of the APEMS to continue their education at foreign universities during the 4th year (bachelor's) or 2nd year (master's) of studies, on the basis of credit set-off in agreed disciplines. The benefits of a dual degree program include gaining experience of studying abroad, expanding employment opportunities after graduation, providing progressive knowledge by leading teachers in partner universities, as well as obtaining two diplomas, namely a diploma of APEMS and a partner university.

Academic mobility of students (hereinafter - AM) is studying in a foreign partner university for one semester or academic year, the result of which is a document confirming the learning outcomes (transcript or certificate of training).
Academic mobility programs:

  • Erasmus+ program;
  • Academic mobility program at the expense of the Republican Budget (grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan);
  • Academic Exchange Program MEVLANA;
  • The program of academic mobility in the framework of bilateral agreements;
