A student of the Academy of Physical Education and Mass Sports - Emberdi Edige won a gold medal at the World Youth Weightlifting Championship held in Spain (Leon).

Edige performed in the weight category up to 89 kg. He won two gold medals in the complex of exercises (154+199) and became the world champion.
