On April 2, 2025, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, N.K. Nossiyeva, took part in the symposium held in the city of Turkistan at the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University. Nazym Kazhymuratovna delivered a presentation on the topic: «Topical Issues of Sports Terminology in the Kazakh Language».

The aim of the symposium was to identify and discuss pressing issues related to the development of the Kazakh language as a language of science; to analyze modern processes and practices in the advancement of Kazakh terminology using artificial intelligence systems; and to develop strategies and conceptual frameworks for the future of scientific language.

The symposium brought together scholars and experts, members of the intelligentsia, figures in science and culture, lecturers, doctoral and master’s students, as well as delegations from fraternal Turkic countries such as Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

In her presentation, N.K. Nossiyeva outlined key challenges related to sports terminology in the Kazakh language and proposed practical solutions. She emphasized that the systematization and standardization of sports terminology contribute to the development of a professional language in Kazakhstan’s sports science. She also noted the urgent need to establish a unified system and common standards for the terms used in educational materials and official documents.
