On September 11, 2024, Apems hosted a meeting with representatives of the US Embassy in Kazakhstan, as well as American cowboys who arrived in Kazakhstan to participate in the World Nomad Games 2024.

As part of the event, Academy students demonstrated national traditions and games such as “Tusau kesu”, “Langi tebu”, “Asyk atu” and “Arkan tartu”, in which the guests took an active part. In turn, the cowboys showed their impressive skills in rodeo and working with a lasso, sharing the historical traditions of their country.

During the event, students and teachers asked questions of interest to them.

A Letter of Gratitude from the Academy was presented to the representative of the US Embassy - Polen Gard, Attaché for Cultural and Educational Affairs.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of equestrian sports, the popularization of Kokpar and American rodeo in the two countries, as well as the 5th World Nomad Games, which are being held in Astana from September 8 to 13, 2024. The Academy of Physical Education and Mass Sports, representatives of US Embassy and the US Cowboys Association expressed their readiness for further cultural and sports cooperation.
