INTERNATIONAL PROJECT «RITA (REGION IN TRANSITION)» IN KAZAKHSTAN

The Academy of Physical Education and Mass Sports (APEMS), together with WSG University (Poland), is implementing the international project "RITA" aimed at developing the system of primary pre-hospital medical care in Kazakhstan.

Project partners:

  • WSG University (Poland)
  • Institute of Physical Education and Sports (Poland)
  • Laerdal Medical (Norway)
  • WOPR water rescue service (Poland)
  • Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kazakhstan

Within the framework of this project, APEMS regularly conducts trainings on the topic "Principles of First Aid" (in accordance with the standards of the European Resuscitation Council), as well as practical training on the algorithm of actions in case of respiratory and cardiac arrest.

On March 5-6, 2025, AITU University lecturers improved their BLS (Basic Life Support) skills, learned how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator), and developed an action algorithm in accordance with the recommendations of the European Resuscitation Council. Practical training took place at Norway's innovative simulation complex with AI sensors, which allowed for the consolidation of theoretical knowledge through the use of AEDs in real time.

The training was conducted by ERC BLS certified instructors:

  • Azerbayev Daulet Nurbolatovich
  • Abiltaeva Ainur Askhatovna
  • Nigmetov Kanat Ualidenovich
  • Sultanov Bauyrzhan

Developing a primary care system is an important step towards public safety!
